Thirty-five inches of micro-woven cloth and a 16-inch depth put the keyboard and the mouse on one continuous surface, which is the point of a mat this size: no seam under your palm and no edge to run off mid-swing. The weave is fine and tightly packed, so the glide is quick without feeling slick, and tracking stays consistent across the whole pad.
What keeps us coming back to the QcK is how little it asks of you. It unrolls flat, grips wood and laminate without creeping, and works with both optical and laser sensors, so moving it between machines changes nothing. Of everything here, this is the pad we hand to someone who wants one purchase and no follow-up reading.
The edges are cut cloth rather than stitched, which is the one place the QcK shows its age next to the KTRIO and the Corsair. Stitching is what keeps a mat from fuzzing at the wrist end over years of leaning, so this one asks a little more care about how it is washed and stored. That has not changed our recommendation, but it is the reason to look elsewhere if you keep a pad forever.
Portability is the quiet bonus: it rolls into a bag, flattens again without a fight, and weighs little enough to carry to a LAN. Against the Razer Gigantus V2, which offers thicker foam and a slightly larger footprint for less money, we still take the QcK's surface and its grip on the desk.
Pros
- Fine cloth weave with fast, precise tracking
- 35 x 16 inches covers keyboard and mouse
- Rubber base holds on wood and laminate
- Rolls up flat for travel
Cons
- Thin 2mm foam adds almost no cushioning
If you want one pad to cover keyboard and mouse and never think about it again, we recommend the QcK XXL: precise cloth tracking, full-desk coverage and a base that stays put.
