The feature that earns this oven the top spot is the wireless probe that lives in the box. Set a target temperature for the middle of a roast and the oven holds until the probe reads it, then backs off to keep it there. We used it that way more than any other function, because it replaces the two habits that ruin small-oven cooking: opening the door to check, and guessing.
The app is more than a remote. You can set custom cook targets, watch the probe's reading climb in real time, and hand the AI recipe generator a dish name or a photo of what is in the fridge to get a cooking program back. That last part sounds like a party trick until it is six o'clock and you are staring into an open refrigerator. Twelve functions, three racks, and a 27-quart cavity that swallows a 9x13 pan — and the panel works on its own when you do not feel like reaching for a phone.
Heat is where we temper the enthusiasm: this one can run hot, so watch the first bake closely. Give it an oven thermometer for the first week and pull things early until you know the offset. Capacity-wise, 27 quarts is enough for a whole chicken and a tray of vegetables underneath, not a holiday turkey.
Pros
- Built-in wireless probe handles doneness
- App control with live probe readings
- 27 quarts takes a 9x13 pan
- AI recipes from a photo or dish name
Cons
- 450 °F ceiling limits high-heat pizza and broil work
We recommend the Typhur to anyone who wants a countertop oven to take over the guesswork — the built-in probe does what an app alone cannot.
