- Max Output
- 250 lumens
- Beam Distance
- 68 meters
We keep coming back to the MicroStream because it disappears into a pocket. It's under four inches long and just over two ounces, so it rides beside a wallet without the bulge of a larger light. The 250-lumen high mode and 68-meter beam are enough to light a driveway, a stairwell, or the space under a sink, and the removable clip lets you hang it from a hat brim when you need both hands.
The USB port is the practical part. You charge it with the included cable, and the charge indicator tells you when it's ready, so there's no battery door to open or cell to remove. We also appreciate that the clip is removable rather than molded on; it makes the light easier to pocket and easier to clean. The low mode drops to 50 lumens and a 31-meter beam, which is the setting we use for close work and for stretching the battery.
Runtime is the trade-off. The high mode runs for about an hour, which is fine for a walk or a quick repair but not for a long outage; the low mode is the one that keeps it useful after the first hour. The limited lifetime warranty is a meaningful backstop, and the aluminum body is rated for a 1-meter drop. We just wish the charge lasted longer on high, because the rest of the light is so easy to live with.

We recommend the MicroStream to anyone who wants a rechargeable light that disappears in a pocket and is ready for a walk, a fuse box, or a dark hallway.
